Jewellery provides fantastic opportunities for imaginative, directional lighting within a boutique setting. Our client requested that we find a way to create stylish, subtle lighting sources to enhance the brilliance of the beautiful pieces on display. We achieved this by fitting a suspended ceiling, into which we inserted lighting troughs which gave us absolute control over the way the lights played upon the numerous surfaces and textures available. Shoppers were invited to wonder at the brilliance of jewellery that appeared to glow, without being immediately aware of the lighting source.
Interior Fit Out for London – StanLil Uses Partitions and Cornice Work to Shape Physical Space
Our client was keen that visitors to the store should feel as though they were discovering the jewellery displays, rather than encountering everything on offer the moment they walked through the door. StanLil achieved this effect by using flexible, lightweight dry lining partitioning as a means of shaping both the physical space, and the journey of visitors. We wanted to avoid stark lines, and favoured architecture which offered more of a sense of warm inclusivity. This was achieved using cornice work which softened the edges where the walls and suspended ceiling met, and provided a stylish finish to the boutique environment.
